Football administrator Jonathan Abbey Pobi has suggested that the current leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) must be held responsible for the hooliganism recorded in our stadiums in recent times.
Speaking on Rainbow Sports he blamed the GFA claiming that we currently have poor managers at the FA level and their incompetence is what is causing the situation.
He suggested FA leaders are not proactive but wait till there is a crisis before they react.
To him, “when you lack men with wisdom and good managers to manage our football in Ghana, the hooliganism will continue”.
Mr. Abbey Pobi added that the football business requires serious security arrangements and the FA must ensure that they put in the measures to address the challenges.
He quizzed: “when former President Mahama was in office, he was blamed for dumsor. He was not an electrician but he was the one who was blamed for dumsor. In recent times we have witnessed dumsor and President Akufo-Addo is in power and he is the one who is being blamed.
Who is managing football in Ghana? Common sense should tell you that when something goes wrong, those in charge should be blamed for the crisis. They are not good managers and have not shown leadership in managing our football well”, he averred.
