Anim Addo never managed me, he was my errand boy; caused my ‘downfall’-Game Boy

July 23, 2021

Ghana Professional boxer and former world champion Emmanuel Tagoe(Game Boy) has denied that he (Tagoe) was managed by Samuel Anim Addo, Asamoah Gyan’s manager.

He was speaking to Isaac Warlanyo Wallace concerning his former management and his career status as a boxer.

“Samuel Anim can never manage me (Emmanuel Tagoe) because of the record I have acquired in boxing as a professional he hasn’t gained even half of it,” he said.

He added that Samuel Anim Addo has never been up to my level and will never get there.

“You know that Samuel knows nothing about boxing although he has studied management, that doesn’t mean he can manage everyone. Anim used to schedule my match for me and does nothing again. He was my errand boy,” he said.

Tagoe also stated that his drop in performance was because of Samuel Anim Addo’s involvement in his career.

“My performance during my stay with my former management was quite good, with the involvement of Anim Addo into my affairs and career, I dropped very deep. He has caused me big harm. Baby Jet Asamoah Gyan did his best to support me but through the wrong path,” he added.

Emmanuel Tagoe, who held the IBO lightweight title from 2016 to 2018 and was ranked the world’s ninth-best active lightweight as of August 2020, has disclosed that he will be returning to active boxing within seven(7) weeks after returning from an injury.
