The President of the Confederation of Africa Football, Mr.Patrice Motsepe has disclosed that African football is of the quality and performance as the European football.
Mr. Partice Motsepe during his speech at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nation, Cameroon 2021 draw at the Yaoinde Conference Centre in Cameroon, stated that the perception of people making African football undesirable os of false witness.
To him ” Africa football has made a lot of progress in recent years and with these progressions, he can say it boldly that African football has is as better as the European football and is of competitiveness,” he said.
He added that his focus as the President of CAF is to ensure that the African teams perform well at the world cup.
” it is my wish that one day an African nation will win the Fifa World Cup, and I know that with the progress we have made, it is very possible for our nation’s to make history one day,” he added.
He added that Africa has produced more footballers across the globe with which the European are beneficial.
“African Nations have provided as many as we can not count players for the globe with which we should be proud of such talents, if you watch European football, American football, you will see these talents being exhibited,” he noted.
Mr. Patrice further stated that the Federation is working hard to increase the price money given to the winner and participant of the TotalEnergies Cup of Nation.
” The federation promised to increase the price money given to participants and the winner of the TotalEnergies Cup Of Nations with which they are in contact with corporate entities to put in place these measures,” he said.
He concluded that the government of Cameroon has been very successful and he appertia the effort made by the government of Cameroon.
” When I was elected to office, some media personnel, we’re asking whether the TotalEnergies competitions will still be played in Cameroon and I answered I have no plan B, my plan A&B is Cameroon and here we are today to enjoy this successful moment,” he said.
