Liberty Professional’s midfielder George Amoako has stated that he becomes shocked anytime he sees Liberty Professional’s park (Carl Reindolf park) at Dansoman.
He said he does not understand why the team of that calibre would train on a park-like that.
George Amoako also added that he least expected that Liberty would be relegated since they had their last league game at home.
Liberty drew their last league game with Kumasi based club King Faisal, which earned them forty (40) points and placed them on 17th position on the league log.
The point was not enough to secure a place in the Ghana premier league, thus and was relegated to division one.
In an interview on Rainbow Radio’s with Isaac Worlanyo Wallace, he stated that “I become shocked anytime I see Liberty’s park. I feel terrible as a player who could not help the club remain in the premier league, ” George Amoako said.
He also mentioned that they did their best to help the team, but due to hard luck, they could not progress.
To him, it was not inconsistency on the part of the technical team that led to the current state of the team, but hard luck.
“It is true the management employed about four different coaches within the season, but that didn’t lead the team to relegation but hard luck on our part,” George Amoako said.
George emphasized that he has gotten an offer from Tarkwa based club Medeama SC and would be moving to Tarkwa.
