Premier league side, Great Olympics has sued their city-rivals and defending Ghana Premier League champions, Hearts of Oak over the transfer of Gladson Awako.
Olympics had sued Accra Hearts of Oak for breach of agreement over the deal.
The player was transferred to Accra Hearts of Oak on a two-year deal before the start of their Africa campaign which they have been eliminated from.
Per the agreement, Accra Hearts of Oak promised to Awako’s transfer fee in two installments.
The first installment was on the 13th of September and the second was to be paid on October 2.
But Accra Hearts of Oak failed to pay the second installment of the agreement.
It is for this reason, why they have sued the team.
Accord Great Olympics in its statement of claim wants a declaration that the defendant breached the forms of its contract with the Plaintiff dated August 12, 2021.
They want an order that the defendant pays general damages to Great Olympics for breach of contract.
They further want the court to order for the reversal and/or cancellation of the purported transfer of Gladson Awako from Olympics to Accra Hearts of Oak.
Aside from these, the team wants the court to order Accra Hearts of oak to pay costs on a full indemnity basis.
