Ghanaian coach J.E Sarpong has advised Black Stars Coach Milovan Rajevac to consider inviting better strikes to join the team as we prepare for the African Cup of Nations.
According to him, the team has no better strikers and asked that better strikers should be sent to play the tournament.
Speaking on Rainbow Sports, he said, Ghana was lacking experienced strikers, and the situation was not limited to Ghana.
He noted that strikers invited to play for Ghana do not put in efforts, as they do for their clubs outside the country.
When asked if it was prudent for the coach to invite local players, he answered in the affirmative saying, the league is gradually progressing and has witnessed some fine players hence the need to consider some of them.
He was however quick to add that if the coach was not prepared to allow the local players to play, he should not invite them.
He said the situation where local players are called but kept at the bench throughout tournaments was bad and must end.
