Remove all smaller gods in 2 weeks or be banished-Chief to residents

The Divisional Chief of Awutu Adawukwa Nai Adawu iv has instructed residents on his land to remove all smaller gods from the community within two weeks.

The traditional leader who is also the Bambofohene of Awutu Traditional council, says he has noticed with shock that, traditional priests in the area are providing spiritual protection for armed robbers and other criminals to terrorize people.

He lamented that these priests provide protection to these criminals who engage in gun battles with the police.

He described the situation as terrible hence the directive for all residents to remove all smaller gods they have in two weeks.

He also bemoaned the rate at which children go missing and in some cases are used for ritual purposes.

Delivering His keynote address during a durbar, he stated that he has dedicated the community onto the hands of God the Creator of the universe henceforth, he needs no smaller gods in the area.

He said although the constitution guarantees the freedom of worship, residents who fail to comply with the directive would be banished.
