The Black Stars has lost their first group game against Morocco by 1-0.
The team suffered the disappointing defeat in the 83rd-minute through a goal scored by Sofiane Boufal.
The goal gave the North African giants a win at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde over the Ghanaiab team.
The performance of the team has been described as disappointing by several supporters.
The game nearly ended in a goalless draw but
Ghana’s sloppy defending allowed the goal from Morocco’s side when the ball fell to Boufal near the 6-yard box and he smashed the ball into the back of the net.
Ghana’s coach Milovan Rajevac admitted that Ghana missed many chances and Morocco were a bit luckier in the end.
Morocco won their only Cup of Nations title in 1976 while Ghana are four-time African champions – the last time in 1982.
