Contrary to assertions by Ghanaians that the players who represented Ghana at the ongoing 2021AFCON performed abysmally and had no sense of urgency, the Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has disagreed.
He has described them as the most dedicated players in Ghana’s AFCON history.
Mr. Okraku says he has never worked with a group of dedicated Black Stars players like the recent ones.
He averred that all the players selected by the coach gave up their maximum best, went to the tournament to win, and were very disciplined.
He said whatever that happened has happened but the truth must be told that the players were dedicated, never spoke about money, and never discussed money and their ultimate vision was about winning.
But unfortunately, that did not happen. We all watched the ball and saw what happened, he added.
