The Select Committee on Sports has asked Black Stars Captain Andre Ayew through the Ghana Football Association to appear before as part of their plans to probe circumstances leading to Ghana’s abysmal performance at the 2021 African Cup of Nations Cup.
The Committee has set 16th, 17th, and 18th February 2021 to commence formal investigations into the competition which was won by Senegal for the first time in their AFCON history
Ghanaians were angered after the team was eliminated from the group stage.
The Parliamentary Committee will sit at the East Wing Conference Room, Job 600.
Key stakeholders such as the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the National Sports Authority, and GFA have received invitations to help in the investigations.
