The Accra Sports Stadium prepares to host the biggest game of this season so far, Hearts of Oak versus Asante Kotoko on Sunday as the Ghana Premier League 2021/2022 match-day-7 upstanding game take place this weekend.
Asante Kotoko leads the table with 36 points while rivals Hearts of Oak has 24 points, 8th position on the league table.
Rainbow Sports in an exclusive interview with Charles Amofah the Public Relations Officer for National Sports Authority, made it clear that the pitch is well prepared to host the Ghana version of El Classico between Hearts Of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
“The pitch is very much prepared for the match. For the past one week, our green grass and groundsmen has always been on the field. There’s no pressure here on like last year where we use to have 6 teams playing at the Accra Sports Stadium, this time around, we have 2 teams playing here in a week so there’s no much pressure here. l can say that the pitch is ready for the game” he said.
“ We are going to stick to the 25% capacity provide by the government, yes l know the FA and the home team is pushing for increment but it all depends on the Ghana Health Service. But currently as we speak, tickets for the match is in but we only have 10,000 tickets which represent 25% “. He added.
He later said that aside from the Ghana Police, they are looking forward to adding the Military Service as part of security for this particular Game.
