Former Ghanaian players are not United like their Nigerian counterparts-Duah

March 16, 2022

A former player for the Senior national team the Black Stars of Ghana and now the interim coach for Ashanti Gold Thomas Duah has opined that former Ghanaian players are not united compared to their Nigerian counterparts.

He was speaking on Rainbow Sports on the viral video circulating on social media by ex Everton and super Eagles player Daniel Amokachi making mockery of Ghana ahead of the playoffs FIFA world cup Quatar 2022.

In the said video Daniel Amokachi said they are ready to host the game against Ghana on a beautiful pitch but Ghana is struggling to even find a venue to play the match.

Thomas Duah emphatically said Nigerians ex footballers are very united and allow their former footballers to come close to their national teams but in Ghana the ex footballers are not united.

He therefore urged the GFA to include more of the ex players to the national team so that they can help the players to deliver well.

Thomas Duah said there is nothing wrong with what Amokachi did and they can also do same but have trust in our national team that they can eliminate Nigeria from the playoffs.

He posited that about six former footballers should be added to the national team to help psyching the players to beat Nigeria in the playoffs.
