Former player of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars, Odartey Lamptey has asked the current breed of players to apply passion and zeal in their game against Nigeria just like their former colleagues did in the 1990s.
He believes the current players we have are exceptional materials but what they need is the zeal and passion that the likes of Abedi Pele, myself, and other former players had in the past.
He said the likes of Abedi Pele and the rest of the 1990s squad played with passion and zeal and did not allow money to determine how they played in their games.
With these attributes, he was hopeful the team will triumph over Nigeria and qualify for the works cup.
He said the players “must die for themselves and the other Ghana. They are exceptional materials but what they need are zeal and passion. They have what it takes to defeat Nigeria and that must be their focus”.
He asked Ghanaians to support the team and pray for them to qualify for the world cup.
To him, the team needs our support and as Ghanaians, we have to support them.
