Confirm Otto Addo as a coach, he cannot qualify us & be changed-Rev. Osei

March 30, 2022

Former Black Stars player Reverend Osei Kofi is advocating for the confirmation of Otto Addo as the coach of the Senior National Team, the Black Stars.

He was of the view that the coach and his technical team have done so well to be confirmed as the permanent technical management team for the national team.

Speaking with Andrews Kwabena Gyasi on Rainbow Sports on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he said he has excelled even in the shortest possible time.

He stated emphatically that he (Otto Addo) cannot qualify the team for the World Cup for another person to be given the permanent job.

“Otto Addo should not be changed. His role as an acting coach should be confirmed. He has done so well. He and the technical team as well as the technical directorship have performed so well. They should be maintained.

They had only three weeks to prepare the team and they have managed to qualify for the World Cup. They should not be changed. He cannot qualify us for the World Cup for another person to be appointed as coach for the team.”

He was hopeful the skills and competence of the coach and his men will allow Ghana to shine at the World Cup.

“Otto Addo is exceptional. He has shown that he is capable. I am advocating for him to be confirmed as the coach for the national team,” he stressed.
