A member of the Referees Association of Ghana, Eric Owusu Mensah, has asked Ghanaians to blame the Ghana Football Association (GFA) if referees in the country are performing poorly.
He was responding to recent concerns raised by a section of the Ghanaian public over the performance of Ghanaian referees and how they officiate matches.
Appearing on Total Sports Review on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, he told host Andrews Kwabena Gyasi that the GFA cannot absorb itself from blame for the poor officiating skills of some referees.
He lamented that referees lack the needed gadgets to communicate during match days, and the GFA is not doing anything about that.
He added that since week 12, the referees had not been paid.
”So if you do this to referees, how do you expect good officiating from the referees,” he quizzed.
