The second-highest goalscorer in the Ghana premier league Yaw Annor has identified Lionel Messi as his role model.
The talented player currently has 12 goals for Ashanti Gold at the end of week 26 of the ongoing league.
In an interview on Total sports review on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, Yaw Annor revealed that he always motivates himself to do his best comp[ared to his old games.
He is looking to score 15 goals for his club this league season.
“l am motivated to continue doing my best. I have a target of scoring 15 goals this season for my club. We have eight more matches to end the season, and l hope to add the remaining 3 to make it 15 goals,“ he said.
When asked if he would want to play outside the country, he said, “yes, every player would love to play outside the country, but I still have a contract with Ashanti Gold. If the offer comes and the club allow me to go fine, it all depends on the club” he added.
When asked who his role model was, with a smile revealed to Rainbow Radio that “ Lionel Messi of Argentine is my role model, l love his style of play and l look up to him.”
