Online betting and gaming franchise betPAWA are the new headline sponsors of the Ghana Premier League.
BetPawa will be investing $6m over the next three years; $2m each season.
The announcement for the sponsorship was disclosed at a special signing ceremony held today, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the headquarters of the GFA.
The partnership between betPAWA and the Ghana Football Association is aimed at properly marketing and positioning the elite league to become an African phenomenon as one of the most successful and attractive leagues on the continent.
Signing on behalf of betPAWA, Mr. Eazi, a celebrated musician and stakeholder of the company said ”the company’s high appetite for growing and harnessing talents, creating opportunities and rewarding fans across the markets are few of the many reasons for partnering with the GFA”.
THE GFA President Kurt Okraku on his part commended the company for the partnership saying, ”on behalf of the Executive Council and the football fraternity in Ghana I wish to thank you for your support”.
He stated that Ghana is blessed with several football talents and evidence is seen through the display of soccer artistry across the various leagues.
”For the country to be able to compete fiercely and on equal with other talents across the globe, there is the need for companies like betPAWA and corporate Ghana to contribute or complement the effort of the government.
The 2022/2023 betPAWA Premier League os scheduled to be launched on September 2, 2022, with the league kicking off on the weekend of 9th to 12th September 2022.
