The Feminine Empowerment Foundation, a women’s empowerment organization, has made an undisclosed donation to women with breast cancer at the 37 Military Hospital.
The donation drive is part of the organization’s breast cancer public awareness, education, and sensitization efforts.
The organization has embarked on several activities to educate the public, especially women, about breast cancer.
Dr. Anne S. Daly, the organization’s founder and President, stated that one of the organization’s top priorities is educating women on what they can do to be proactive about their breast health.
She contended that learning enough about breast cancer and detecting it early can help save lives.
She explained that having breast cancer is not a death sentence because it can be treated if detected early.
She stated that one of our major goals is to reduce the number of women who present with the late-stage disease at diagnosis through community outreach and education.
Dr. Anne S. Daly commended Ghana Gas for supporting the initiative and donation drive.
She emphasized the importance of intensive breast cancer campaigns, education, and awareness, as well as self-examination and regular hospital check-ups.
On his part, Col. Seth Attoh at the 37 Military Hospital expressed gratitude to the organization for their kind gesture.
He said the donation would go a long way to help the patients on admission.
The patients also commended the organization for the donation.
