Ghana’s inflation for November has increased to 50.3 percent.
The increase is due to the hike in the prices of housing, electricity, and fuel, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) data released by the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) on Wednesday, said.
According to the data, food inflation reached 55.3% in November 2022, up from 43.7% in October, and non-food inflation increased by 7.2% to 46.5% in November 2022.
The Eastern region had the highest regional inflation rate, at 63.3%. The Greater Accra region was next, with an inflation rate of 61.6%.
The consumer price index, which measures a broad range of goods and services, increased by 0.3% month on month.
