Don’t stay if the marriage will kill you, separate yourself to save your life – Counsellor Charlotte Oduro

December 17, 2022
Rev-Charlotte-Oduro

Marriage counsellor and pastor, Mrs. Charlotte Oduro, has posited that although the bible speaks against divorce, one should not stay in a marriage that could end your life.

Speaking on the Weekend Morning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm, she said we live to marry but do not die to marry, hence if your life is at risk, you should separate yourself from the marriage.

It’s about time you take responsibility for your life instead of depending on others – Life Coach

”Marriage is important, but your life is also valuable, so if your life is at risk, you should take that bold decision and separate yourself from the marriage. People will talk but is not the most important thing. If your life is at risk, please take that decision and separate yourself from the marriage.”

“The bible has advised Christians against divorce, but if your life is at risk, be wise,” she told host Nhyiraba Asirifi. Separate yourself and leave the rest to God. Allow your partner to decide whether or not to divorce. But don’t jeopardise your life. It is valuable, and you must value and cherish it”.
