Chartered Economist Emannuel Amoah Darkwah has advised Ghanaians to live within their means as we have started the new year.
He said it would be prudent for Ghanaians to avoid unnecessary expenditures that could affect their finances.
According to him, the festive season came with spending, and even before that, several citizens had experienced some financial challenges coupled with the debt restructuring programme that would now affect individual bondholders.
He explained that ”some persons would experience some financial cuts. For that reason, you need to live within your means. Food is crucial and expensive. The best way to save is to cook yourself so you can depend on the food for a period. This would save you money. In terms of transportation, you could join public transport to save money”.
Mr. Amoah Darkwah speaking on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm added that ”this is not the time to spend on unnecessary things. Spend less and save more,” he stressed.
