Ghanaian Youtuber Wide Maya says making an impact is more important for him than the number of followers.
The award-winning Youtuber with over 1.2 million followers on Youtube told Rainbow Entertainment host Daniel Dadson that for him, ”it’s not all about the numbers. For me, it is all about the impact I am making in society. That is what makes me happy than the numbers. Youtube numbers are just numbers for me”.
Wode Maya said he gets more excited when people tell him they want to travel to Nigeria, Namibia, and other countries after watching his videos.
When asked the most impactful video he had worked on, he answered saying, ”I think that is the most difficult question anybody has asked me. I think I have a lot of impactful videos. But the most impactful video, and the one I have enjoyed watching over and over again, is the young guy who used his school gees to build a factory in Ghana. He was a law student but quit and invested in himself by establishing a charcoal factory.”
Wode Maya said that after that video, he came into contact with several other young people doing something similar and meaningful in the country.
The interview, he added gas impacted the young man positively since he is currently exporting to other counties.
