Kwame OB Nartey, an entertainment critic, has described Bongo Ideas as a nobody and has advised celebrities not to entertain his attention-seeking agenda on social media.
He was contributing to an outburst by Ghanaian footballer Asamoah Gyan and threats against Bongo Ideas after the latter tweeted a negative comment about him when he [Asamoah Gyan] said something about the late Christian Atsu.
In his view, Asamoah Gyan should not have reacted to Bongo Ideas because he [Bongo] was below his pedigree.
”Such a big celebrity like Asamoah should not have responded to this young bully called Bongo Ideas. The best thing for Asamoah Gyan to have done was to ignore him because Bonfo Ideas is seeking attention on social media. This is what our celebrities must know and understand.”
“Bongo Ideas is a nobody,” he told host Daniel Dadzie on Rainbow Entertainment. All he does is take people’s comments or posts and insult them or make inane comments about them to get people to talk about him. Asamoah Gyan is a global icon, and he should not have responded to someone lower in the pecking order. The best public relations will tell you that if someone is beneath you, you should ignore them.
If David Beckham had said something about Asamoah Gyan, he could have responded because that boy [Bongo Ideas] is down there. He is nothing. He is just feeding on people’s stuff to become somebody.”
