Apostle Thomas Kwabena Effah of the Koforidua-based Christ Foundation Church has described same-sex marriage as an abomination. He claims that LGBTQIA+ is only practised by a cursed nation and that Africa, and particularly Ghana, must distance itself from it entirely.
Apostle Effah was speaking at his 40th anniversary of active service as a pastor when he identified a few challenges commonly faced by ministers. As a man, Apostle Effah regards womanising as one of the minor temptations.
With him, destructors make God’s work a tedious task combined with monitory affairs. Once one is determined, no fallen rock can make them look back, and this is his strength in this forty-year journey.
According to him, his wife, Mrs. Nyarkoa Effah, has been the rock that has helped him weather the storm. However, without her unwavering support, life as a pastor would be hell.
Mrs. Nyarkoa Effah, for her part, encouraged wives to assist their pastor husbands at the altar so that they (husbands) could receive the crown. She urged wives to refrain from criticising their husbands and instead do good deeds to assist men in their endeavors, particularly pastors.
Apostle Cosmos Okyere Darko, the administrator for the National Clergy Association (NACAG), was the event’s honoree.
He urged church members to stand firm in support of pastors, urging everyone to always celebrate the living in a way that allows them to reap the benefits of their labour. Pastors are tasked with keeping the Body of Christ together, and they are constantly encouraged to win more souls for Christ.
