A Senior Lecture at the University of Education, Winneba, who recently declared his intention to contest the presidential primary in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Eric Sakyi Nketiah, has promised to roll out a one-district-three factories policy.
He said he would build on the one-district-one factory policy of President Akufo-Addo to ensure that the youth of Ghana het more jobs to do.
He believes that we should not only look within Ghana, but also expand our markets into other countries such as Burkina Faso, Niger, Chad, Senegal, and others.
The aspiring presidential candidate said once we explore the markets and are positioned to explore these markets, we will expand and produce more”.
He said in ”industry and in business when you are able to produce more, the average cost comes down, and it makes prices cheaper so that we stand in readiness to enjoy from the benefits of mass production of we push for one-district three factories.”
He argued that his policy would be an improvement of what we have now.
To him, the the Nana Addo’s one district one factory is not enough, and the best way forward is to build more factories.
