Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has lit up social media, particularly Twitter, with his scathing response to the contents of the ‘I’m Not Yvonne Nelson’ book written by Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson.
The actress claimed in her book that the musician dumped her after she told him she was pregnant for him.
Madam Nelson blamed the musician for abandoning her faith over the pregnancy after telling her he wasn’t ready and that he had a serious fiancee.
In a raw response, the rapper called the actress a “street girl.”
Yvonne Nelson has also reacted in a series of tweets, taking a dig at Sarkodie, describing the contents of gis rap as insulting.
She also asked him to respect womanhood.
She recounts her decision to terminate the pregnancy in Chapter 8 of the book because the rapper refused to accept responsibility.
She later discovered that the rapper had another girlfriend who was studying at a university in another country, which explains his rejection.
But Sarkodie through his rap song denied the assertions indicating he had asked her to keep the pregnancy.
“So don’t you make it seem like I was the one pushing you for abortion,” he said in Try Me, the latest rap.
According to him, there are a couple of things he had thought he would take to his grave, suggesting the abortion could have remained a secret, however, he praises her for her bravery in telling the story but says Yvonne cannot pick and choose what to tell the world.
