Prophet Benjamin Fordjour, the founder of The Benjamin Fordjour Ministries, has refuted assertions that children who follow in their parents’ footsteps to become men of God are doing so for profit.
According to the youthful prophet, being a servant of God is a divine calling, and those who are called to serve God will be revealed along the journey.
He emphasised that, like the Levites Family in the Bible, it is natural for children to follow in their parents’ footsteps.
He was speaking to Sokoohemaa Kukua on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm’s mid-morning broadcast.
The Church, he added, has never been and will never be a business, and those who make such remarks, particularly regarding the children of God following in their parents’ footsteps, lack knowledge of that mission.
He stated that individuals who do not understand how God works judge things based on their own comprehension.
“The church has never been a business, and it can never be a business.” People who lack comprehension of God’s work in today’s world assess things based on their own understanding.
If you are not contributing to God’s kingdom and are not in God’s environment, your understanding will be different. If you are part of a family, your perspective is different. Nobody will ever be in a God’s family and say it’s business because you know the whole thing about Christianity is a complete sacrifice.”
He claimed that God began the process of children of prophets becoming prophets or men of God.
“That is represented in the Bible’s account of the Levites. There are great children of God’s men who do not want to be men of God. So it has nothing to do with God’s men compelling their children to follow in their footsteps. It is about God’s calling. You cannot be a man of God unless you are called by God.”
