Paa Kwesi is believed to have attacked Yawavi Agazome’s grandmother with a cutlass.

The incident occurred in the Upper West Akim District near Adeiso.

Rainbow Radio’s Prince Collins Bening reported from the scene that Paa Kwesi is mentally challenged.

Residents and the deceased’s relatives, he claimed, are startled and in a state of shock.

He reported that Paa Kwesi was taken to a prayer camp for prayers but was later returned home.

He went on to say that the young man allegedly committed his deed after being questioned by his siblings for using a bag of cement destined for them without asking.

When confronted about using cement, the young man grew enraged, according to Prince Bening.

He allegedly slaughtered numerous fowls intended for the family before entering the grandmother’s room and attacking her with a metal rod.

He is accused of hitting the grandmother multiple times until she died.

He attacked a brother who attempted to take the metal from him after attacking the grandmother.

He amputated his brother’s hand.

The police were later summoned, but efforts to recover the metal piece were useless.

Later, the commander directed that he be shot.

He added that it required many rounds to pierce the young man’s body.

Residents are concerned, according to Prince Bening, because they wanted him arrested alive.
