Youth of Ghana:
Don’t listen to party people when they try to dumb down the serious effects of bad governance.
Most regimes in Ghana last for 8 years. If you sit down for someone to misrule you for 2 Terms , that’s 8 years of opportunities that you and your friends have missed.
If in 2017 you were 22 years old and thought politics do t matter, today you are going on 27. Look at your friends. They are all holding betting slips, doing fraud, hookup or looking for ways and means to jakpa.
Is that your Ghanaian dream?
If you allow people whose only wish is just to see their party in power and not scrutinize them, by the next election cycle, you will turn 33 by that time with no progress. Your parents will be old, you will have pressure to marry, build a career, a family etc. People will still make noise but nothing will change.
When I protested against Mahama 9 years ago I was 33 years old. Almost 3 elections now, I’m 42. I see my friends at 42 wanting to go start life somewhere else not I ly to secure a better future but one for their kids.
Today, Shs kids who went on vacation are being told to stay home till further notice. Your friends, and even your parents are being forced to give up their pension savings because our government run us into debt. People’s bonds which were the safest I truments ha e been locked up and it has destroyed their families.
Even the police who arrested protesters yesterday were asking for money to buy food from family members of those they mistreated
And you sit here and you don’t care?
Rise up and see to it that those we put in leadership do the right things, or se you will have NO FUTURE.
