An angry mob in Kasoa has reportedly killed a suspected car snatcher.
The deceased is alleged to have collaborated with his accomplice, who is currently under arrest in Kasoa and its vicinity to snatch a car from a driver.
They allegedly engaged in acts of car snatching in the area.
According to reports reaching Rainbowradioonline.com, the two hired a taxi driver to take them to Awutu Bosomabra, a suburb in the Awutu Senya West District, to view their land.
According to Rainbow Radio Reporter Oheneba Ademah’s sources, when they arrived at a portion of the road in the bush, they asked the driver to halt and then began beating him in an attempt to steal his Hyundai I10 car with registration number GE 5718-22.
The driver who screamed for help got assistance from some of the residents coming to his aid and arrested the two suspects.
However, one of the suspects was found dead after the persons who rushed to the scene allegedly attacked him.
The second person was rescued by the police and sent to the police station.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary.
The taxi, which was also damaged in the process, has been retrieved and sent to the police station pending an investigation into the matter.
