Francis Asenso Boakye, the Bantama constituency MP and works and housing minister, has honoured the late former MP Daniel Okyem Aboagye.
The Minister announced that the Astroturf at Ohwim Amanfrom in Bantama Submetro, Ashanti, will be named after the late MP.
The late Okyem Aboagye was a diligent individual who significantly contributed to the growth of the Bantama constituency, he said.
“I have discussed the need to name this Astroturf after the late MP with various stakeholders in Bantama, including the mayor, party executives, and other officials.” He did a good job for the party. He made significant contributions to the constituency’s growth. That is why we have decided to pay tribute to him.”
He confirmed his personal contact with the bereaved family to prepare for the funeral rites.
Mr. Frank Gyamfi of Ghana Gas Limited, who financed the Astroturf’s construction, also provided advice on the maintenance culture.
He also urged the constituency to thank their MP, Asenso Boakye, for working tirelessly to bring greater development to the area.
“We have completed the project, and the only request I have is that the park be well maintained by the residents of the community.” We anticipate that the park will be in good condition when we return to evaluate it in a year or two. It is difficult for your MP to advocate for development in the constituency. He deserves to be recognised. But the most important thing is that you keep the park in good condition. I am asking the chiefs, the mayor, and other community leaders to take an interest in guaranteeing the park’s upkeep. It will aid in the development of various talents in the area.”
