Ghanaian gospel musician and pastor Akesse Brempong wonders what God has to do with cookathons, election-related and football prophesies.
The musician was responding to the question of whether God’s prophecies about football and elections are genuine.
He was responding to a question about whether these prophecies are true and come from God.
“I sometimes ask myself what God has to do with these things. Cookathons, football, and elections—why will God want to speak about these things? Are prophecies about these things from God? To what end will these prophecies be? What will be the outcome of these prophecies? Is God interested in football and the outcome of football?”
He made the remarks while speaking in an interview with Sokoohemmaa Kukua on the mid-morning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM.
He explained that the prophetic ministry and prophecies must bring redemption to those involved, not just the fanciful things that surround them.
He said one of the major roles of the prophets is to guide and caution people on their paths, adding that prophets communicate the express mind of God.
Akesse Brempong went on to state that prophets must apply wisdom in their prophetic ministry so they do not create confusion.
According to him, these prophecies surrounding football games, and elections are mostly suggestions and not truly from God.
“I think most of these prophecies on elections and football games are suggestions and not truly prophecies from God,” he told the host.
“If you are a child of God and there is a prophecy about you, you must confirm it from God and know if it is truly from God.”
