Political analyst William Owusu Ansah says the interest in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Ejisu parliamentary primary election for the by-election is not surprising.
He asserted that Ejisu is one of the constituencies in the Ashanti region, which is the heartbeat of the region.
He said no one wished evil for the late John Kumah, but the current situation has led us here.
“John Kumah in Ejisu did his best as the MP. No one wished him evil, but unfortunately, he has passed on to eternity, and so the seat has become vacant. The number of people who have picked forms to contest is not surprising.”
Speaking on Frontlinte on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he said the constituency is a stronghold of the NPP, and whoever wins the primary will automatically win the parliamentary election.
William Ansah was of the view that it would not be surprising should Kwesi Nyantakyi, the former Ghana Football Association president, win the primary.
To him, it would not be surprising for him to win.
He indicated that the Number 12 expose was not an extraordinary work.
But the recent confession by Nyantakyi that he made an attempt to pay $100,000 to kill the story was terrible.
“The recent confession or admission by Nyantakyi that he paid $100,000 to Anas in an attempt to have the video killed was not good. Indirectly, you are affirming that whatever Anas said in his documentary was true.”
