A young man identified as Awudu Grumah has been arrested by the police for allegedly killing a man he placed in a headlock.
The suspect, according to the details available, had an argument with Seidu Konkomba, the deceased.
The incident reportedly occurred at Nweneso Number 1, a suburb in Atwima Kwanwoma District in the Ashanti region.
Reporting from the area, Rainbow Radio’s Alhaji Abdul Malik Anokye stated that the suspect allegedly locked his arm around Seidu Konkomba’s head until he died.
Narrating the circumstances leading to the death of Seidu Konkomba, 65, the reporter said the son of the suspect went to fetch water from Konkomba’s, but while fetching the water, the minor was wasting the water.
Konkomba asked the minor to leave the place since he was wasting the water.
The son of the suspect went to report to his father, who, in anger, stormed Konkomba’s residence, engaged him in a brawl, and allegedly locked his arm around Seidu Konkomba’s head until he died.
After learning that Seidu Konkomba had died, he rushed to Accra with the intention of escaping to Togo.
He was, however, unlucky, as he was arrested by the police.
He is currently assisting the police with their investigation.
