Nana Kwame, 44, sustained cutlass wounds after being allegedly attacked on his farm.
The incident is said to have occurred in Suronoase, Tain District, Bono Region.
Our correspondent, Bra Kwame, reporting on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Bra Kwame, reported that the victim was attacked by two individuals over farm ownership.
He said Nana Kwame the farmer had instructed a caretaker to go and work on his farm.
However, while working on the farm, the caretaker came across two people who said he (the caretaker) had no authority to be on the property after it had been sold to another man.
The caretaker then called Nana Kwame, the victim to report the occurrence.
Nana Kwame, the victim, then rushed to the farm, where he met the two individuals, who have been identified as Kwaku Barry and Kwabena Duah.
The attackers allegedly stormed the farm, wielding guns.
One of them offered to the other that they shoot Nana Kwame, but the other said they should inflict cutlass wounds on him instead.
They allegedly snatched his cutlass and used it to slash him.
Our reporter Bra Kwame added that the farmer has sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the Tain government hospital for medical care.
The farmer reported the incident to the police, but the two suspects have not yet been arrested.
