They don’t compare their successes with their heroes because they are non-achievers compared to Nkrumah – Divine Nkrumah

The Director of Operations of the Progressive People’s Party, Divine Nkrumah, has penned an opinion describing the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as a revered legend whose legacy is still being discussed several years after his death.

The young politician’s opinion piece comes after a section of the Ghanaian public slammed Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and claimed that President Akufo-Addo has performed better than the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

Mr. Nkrumah posited that there is one thing he has learned from the ongoing debate, and that is to leave a legacy behind that would serve as a benchmark for others to talk about.

He indicated that the legacy of Kwame Nkrumah still remain the benchmark for everyone who wants to compare previous leaders.

He stated that even those who compare their record to that of Nkrumah don’t compare their successes to the people they celebrate and take pride in, like Akufo Addo’s father, Afrifa, JB Danquah, and the others.

“It brings to the fore the fact that no matter how much people hate you and try to paint you black, the good you do can never be wiped or written off, even in their pretense that you did nothing. What I have come to learn is that, just try to be a good human being and do your best for humanity. History will always judge you rightly in the hearts of people.

For me, I tap into the anointing, the grace, and the blessings on the head of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, such that long after we are dead and gone, we will continue to be celebrated even more than those alive for our good deeds.

In the midst of the Kwame Nkrumah cacophony and brouhaha, there is one thing I have come to learn and appreciate about life and how nature behaves.”

In the midst of the Kwame Nkrumah cacophony and brouhaha, there is one thing I have come to learn and appreciate about life and how nature behaves.

Everyone must wish to be like Nkrumah. The man is indeed a revered legend, blessed to have his legacy discussed even now, long after he died and left this earth.

For me, I tap into the anointing, the grace, and the blessings on the head of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, such that long after we are dead and gone, we will continue to be celebrated even more than those alive for our good deeds.

Imagine that after him, there have been other heads of state, yet if there is anything to talk about, he has become the benchmark for all comparisons, whether for good or bad motives. It’s not as if the political party he founded is even in power or as vibrant as it used to be, yet all attention is directed towards his legacy. Many other people have come after him, yet nobody remembers their shadows.

Time is the only revealer of truth. The paradox is that they don’t even compare their so-called successes with the forefathers, heroes, and Godfathers they celebrate all the time because they are non-achievers compared to Nkrumah. How come they are not daring to compare their successes to the people they celebrate and take pride in, like Akufo Addo’s father, Afrifa, Kotoka, J.B. Danquah, and the rest of them? It brings to the fore the fact that no matter how much people hate you and try to paint you black, the good you do can never be wiped or written off, even in their pretense that you did nothing. What I have come to learn is that, just try to be a good human being and do your best for humanity. History will always judge you rightly in the hearts of people.
