Kofi Bosompem Osafo-Maafo, Director-General of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), has lauded the organisation’s achievements.
He stated that the management of SSNIT has made positive advances in improving the work they do.
Speaking at the 2024 annual operations and benefits conference in Elmina, Central Region, he stated that management is using three pillars to assist run SSNIT efficiently.
According to him, the scheme’s sustainability, the use of cutting-edge technology, and delivering suitable benefits are only a few of the tactics for maintaining its long-term viability.
“From management’s perspective, the strategic direction of this institution is based on three pillars. The sustainability of the scheme and its improvement. Indeed, we have made significant strides in improving the sustainability of the scheme. This is going to be done through the expansion of coverage, enforcement of compliance, prudent investment of funds and responsible governance of the Trust and its investments.”
“Secondly, the adoption of state-of-the-art technology for the management and maintenance of accurate and complete data, reliable financial data on members and also for improving our efficiency.
