Stop cheating on your wives if you want respect, trust, and submission – Ayariga to men

September 11, 2024

Presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga, has advised married men to respect the institution of marriage and stop cheating on their wives.

The Ghanaian politician and businessman said if men want submissive wives who would respect and stand by them in all situations, then they would have to avoid extramarital affairs.

Mr. Ayariga was interacting with members of his party on September 4, 2024, on what had sustained his marriage and why his wife had remained loyal to the marriage for the over two decades they married.

He described Mrs. Anita Ayariga as respectful, dedicated, committed, and trusted, ”and for me, she is right in front and I am behind. I am protecting her. She is also guiding me. I have gone this far because of this lady’’.

Mr. Ayariga said the wife was a very prayerful woman, a woman who fears God, ”and so when you see me this far, it is not my efforts alone. My efforts alone would not have brought me this far. Her efforts complement my efforts. There are three things in life, and if you want to, no matter who you are, you need to adopt them in your marriage. One is respect for your wife. When you respect your wife, she will be a servant to you. She will be good to you. She will be your support; she will be your companion. She will be your advisor; she will direct and guide you and protect you. She will not let anything happen to you. We have been together for 21 years because of the way we share our love and respect each other. Number two, sincerity and honesty. A man must be very honest with his wife and sincere, and the woman must also be honest and sincere with the man. That will keep you alive. That will be a strong bond between the two of you. What I am giving you is advice that will help you maintain and keep your family. It is not political talk. So please listen very well and advise yourself, he added.

‘’The third one is to be a prayerful man. Prayers keep the family. When you are a prayerful man, the devil cannot penetrate into yourself, and the evil girlfriend cannot penetrate into your house. But if you let loose, the devil will sneak into your house and destroy your family. This lady here, if she becomes the first lady, you will thank God for life because she has a good heart for Ghana.’’
