Archbishop Charles Agyinasre, the founder of Perez Chapel, has congratulated New Force Movement leader Nana Kwame Bediako, often known as Cheddar, on his performance in the presidential race.
The man of God stated for the first time that someone who is not a well-known politician should be recognised for putting on such a display.
Speaking to his congregation on Sunday, December 8, 2024, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare revealed the businessman decided to run for president just a year ago, and yet, he has managed to beat the experienced politicians.
“Some of you don’t know he decided to run just a year before the elections, and with all the challenges and being a first-time politician, to beat those who have done this several times, Nana more vim. We are proud of you, and God bless you.”
He also expressed disappointment in the deaths of two persons recorded but was quick to add that it is not a perfect record but better than the eight persons who died in the 2020 general elections.
He then led the church to pray and ask God to unite the nation after the elections.
“We want to pray that we can come together as a nation and build this nation. Father, in the name of Jesus, our election is over. We commit this nation into your hands; we pray that you bind us together so that together, we will build this nation in Jesus name.”
