The Officer Commanding ECOWAS Mission in the Gambia Ghana Company (ECOMIG GHANCOY) 8 Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Abraham Dery has handed over command to Officer Commanding ECOMIG GHANCOY 9 Lieutenant Colonel Ronne Yaw Agbemafle on Friday, 30 May 2025, at the Barra Camp in The Gambia.
The ceremony was marked by the handing over of the Baton of Authority to the Incoming Officer Commanding, followed by the signing of the handing and taking over notes.
In these remarks, Lt Col Dery thanked the almighty God for a successful tour.
He also expressed his appreciation to the personnel of GHANCOY 8 for their unwavering support and dedication during the tour.
The OC GHANCOY 9, Lt Col Agbemafle, on his part, urged personnel of his GHANCOY to be professional, disciplined, dedicated and committed to every task assigned to them. He further thanked the Military high command for the opportunity given him.
