In a statement shared on Facebook, Dr. Apaak emphasised that the inclusion of private schools demonstrates the Mahama administration’s resolve to honor its promises to the Ghanaian people.

The statement was issued in response to the extension of school selection process following the addition of 25 private senior high schools to the list of Senior High Schools available for students who have written their Basic Education Certificate Examination.

The authorities have extended the deadline to Wednesday, 25th June 2025, to enable candidates make well-informed choices.

Reacting to this, Dr Apaak stated that “Find below the 25 private Senior High Schools participating in the pilot phase of the inclusion of private Senior High Schools in the delivery of the FSHS Programme.

To accommodate the pilot, and to allow students the option of choosing private schools, the deadline for the selection of Senior High Schools by students writing their BECE has been extended to Wednesday 25th June 2025.

The inclusion of private Senior High Schools in the delivery of the FSHS Programme was a campaign promise made by President John Mahama. This is yet another example of how determined we are to fulfil the promises we made to Ghanaians. John Dramani Mahama is a President you can trust.”
