The Ghana Police Service (GPS) has issued a disclaimer cautioning Ghanaians over a fake recruitment exercise.
The disclaimer was issued by the Public Affairs Directorate today, Monday, June 23, 2025.
It stated that any recruitment exercise would be advertised through the official communication channels of the service, including the official website, verified social media platforms, and in the national dailies.
“The public is hereby advised to disregard such fraudulent claims and desist from engaging with individuals or groups who promise recruitment opportunities in exchange for money,” it said.
Meanwhile, the service has assured the public that it is investigating the matter and will arrest those behind the false information and prosecute them.
The GPS asked the Ghanaian public to report such individuals to the nearest police station.
“The Ghana Police Service assures the public that it is actively investigating these fraudulent activities, and persons found to be involved in such illegal schemes will be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the law.
The public is encouraged to report any persons or groups engaged in these fraudulent activities to the nearest police station,” it concluded.
