The Member of Parliament for Ayensuano Constituency, Hon. Ida Adjoa Asiedu, has reaffirmed her commitment to working closely with the Ayensuano District Assembly to drive meaningful and sustainable development in the area.
This morning, Hon. Asiedu attended the First Ordinary Meeting of the Second Session of the Fourth Assembly of the Ayensuano District Assembly, held at the Assembly Hall in Coaltar.
In her address, she outlined her vision for the constituency, focusing on key areas such as education, health, security, and agriculture.
Key Initiatives
– Education: Renovation of dilapidated classroom blocks, provision of desks, scholarships for brilliant but needy students, and continuous support, including the annual distribution of mathematical sets to JHS candidates.
– Health: Support for preventive and curative health programmes, provision of hospital beds and medical equipment, expansion of access to clean water through mechanised boreholes, and collaboration with NGOs to establish more health facilities.
– Security: Installation of streetlights to combat crime, advocacy for enhanced community policing, and leveraging her role on the Defence and Interior Committee to improve safety in communities.
– Agriculture: Support for farmers through improved nursery seedlings, subsidised agrochemicals, and lobbying for better road networks to farming communities to boost productivity and food security.
Hon. Asiedu also emphasised her commitment to mobilising resources, including through the Abadae Care Plan, to support vulnerable families and strengthen livelihoods. She expressed her determination to work together with the Assembly, traditional leaders, and the people of Ayensuano to transform the constituency into a model of progress.
