The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has cautioned Ghanaians to remain vigilant as it prepares to begin its recruitment exercise, especially against scammers who would want to take advantage of the exercise to defraud them.
GAF said the exercise will not be conducted on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, or any other platform.
The statement, which was signed by Veronica Adzo Arghin, Captain, Ghana Navy, Acting Director General Public Relations, said the enlistment exercise would be announced through the official platforms of GAF and two national newspapers.
”The enlistment/recruitment exercise will be announced through the official Ghana Armed Forces platforms such as gafonline.mil.gh, gafrecruitment.mil.gh in addition to the Daily Graphic and the Ghanaian Times newspapers.”
The statement stressed that any recruitment notice on social media platforms or any notice of protocol enlistment should be treated as a scam.
”The general public is kindly informed that, any purported recruitment links on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp or any other social media platforms inviting people for protocol recruitment is a scam and should be ignored. Additionally, no such enlistment/recruitment invitation will emanate from any member of the Ghana Armed Forces or its High Command and should be ignored as well.”
