The breakfast meeting will be held under the theme, “Reflections, Achievements, Setbacks and the Way Forward.”

A statement issued and signed by Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayose, General Secretary of the Council, stated that the event will bring together thought leaders, stakeholders, and the Christian community to reflect on the past milestones, address challenges, and chart the path forward.

The event will be held from 7 am–9 am at the Ridge Church, Accra, and will be chaired by Reverend Dr. Joyce Rosalind Aryee, Executive Director, Salt & Light Ministries, the statement indicated.

Rev. Dr. Cyril Fayose described Dr. Aryee as a proven ecumenist who has served the nation and the church in many capacities.
Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin, Executive Chairman, Tobinco Group of Companies, has been billed as the Guest Speaker.

”Dr. Tobbin is expected to share perspectives on the theme, drawing from his vast personal experience vis-à-vis the God-factor in our human endeavours and nation building.”

Deputy Chief of Staff Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo has been delegated to represent the Presidency.

”The Christian Council has partnered the State faithfully and reliably in shaping the destiny of our nation in many ways. The Presidency will therefore be ably represented by Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo, Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the President, who will deputise for the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah.”

The statement added, “The event promises to be a moment of inspiration, dialogue, and forward-thinking as we collectively explore the achievements and the challenges of the past while envisioning a brighter future for the Church and our dear nation in promoting the God-factor in every sphere of our nationhood.”

The 96th Anniversary Breakfast Meeting is a precursor to the Christian Council’s maiden Ecumenical Convention scheduled for November 14–16, 2025, at the University of Ghana, Legon. As a Council, we envision that this Anniversary Breakfast Meeting will set the tone for the series of events, projects and initiatives that will form part of our Centenary celebrations in 2029.

The statement concluded, “The Christian Council has over the years continued to work collaboratively with governmental and non-governmental organisations to promote ecumenism, interfaith-dialogue, peace, harmony and social cohesion. With the help of God Almighty, the prayers of God’s people, and our strategic decisions, we hope to consolidate our contributions and relevance as the foremost ecumenical body in Ghana committed to shaping the morality and holistic development of our people.”
