The Member of Parliament for the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Agyinsam, has raised a crucial question in Parliament regarding the plans of the Ministry of Health to furnish the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District Health Directorate with an administration block and staff bungalows.

During a parliamentary session, Hon. Agyinsam asked Health Minister Kwabena Mintah Akando about the ministry’s plans to complete the district health directorate’s infrastructure, enabling them to operate effectively and efficiently.

The MP’s inquiry highlights the need for adequate facilities to support healthcare delivery in the district.

Hon. Agyinsam also sought clarification from the Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akando, on the decentralisation of health facility construction.

He asked the minister when the construction of the office and facilities was decentralised to the district assembly level.

The MP also enquired about the steps he needs to take to engage with the district assembly to secure the needed office facilities for the district health directorate.

The Minister of Health, Kwabena Mintah Akando, has responded to a query raised by Hon. Lawrence Agyinsam, Member of Parliament for the Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira Constituency, regarding the provision of office and residential accommodations for the Chufuhiman Lower District Health Directorate.

According to Minister Akando, the Ministry acknowledges the importance of providing a conducive working environment and adequate residential accommodation to enhance the effective and efficient operations of the district health directorate. He explained that the construction of office and auxiliary facilities at the district level has been decentralised and is now under the purview of the respective district assemblies.

The minister assured that the Ministry of Health will collaborate closely with the Ministry of Local Government and the district assembly to ensure that appropriate office and residential accommodations are provided to facilitate the effective performance of health staff within the district.
