Newly appointed coach for Bechem United, Kobina Amissah, has acknowledged that his inaugural game against Young Apostles will be a challenging encounter.
He expressed enthusiasm about his appointment by the team but noted that his first game is crucial, and he is prepared to meet the challenge.
The said he was delighted to return to the team as head coach.
“I am very happy to return to Bechem United as the head coach. My first game against Young Apostles will be a difficult game. It is going to be a tough situation for me, but with the experience we have gained, we will secure the expected victory.”
Amissah, who will be assisted by Mallam Yahaya, expressed confidence in his assistant, describing him as an experienced and formidable coach.
“My assistant coach is an experienced coach, and he will bring his experience to bear. I have confidence in his competence. My able assistant is another good coach, and we are sure of doing better.”
Kobina Amissah further expressed confidence in the team, stating that the players are of good quality.
However, he noted that their current challenge is scoring goals.
“I know a lot of the players, not only those I have worked with. I have also watched their games, and I can confidently state that I was impressed with their performance, but unfortunately, the only challenge we have now is how to put the ball behind the net.”
He assured the supporters that he, his assistant, and the other technical team will work diligently on this challenge to start scoring goals consistently.
The coach said the feeling of returning to the premier league was good, especially after being off the scene for a while.
He called on fans of the team to continue supporting Bechem United and expressed gratitude for the hospitality he received after being named head coach.
The team’s goalkeeper, Emmanuel Anning, assured the coach that the players are prepared to work hard and secure results. He stated they will maintain discipline and ensure they deliver.
Anning added that his personal target is to secure a place in the national team.
He promised the supporters that the team will do everything possible to win the cup this season.
Addressing the fans, he said, “Without your support, we would not have had the opportunity to play for the team. We appeal to them to put the past behind them and support us so we can secure the maximum win for the team.”
