Two young men die in galamsey pit collapse

A tragic incident has occurred in the Western North Region’s Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality, where two individuals, identified as 20-year-old Donkor Junior and 19-year-old Enock Agyapong, lost their lives in a galamsey pit at Subri Nkwanta.

According to reports, the father of one of the deceased, Mr. Kofi Ahenwah, received a distress call informing him of the unfortunate event.

Despite being rushed to the Anhwiaso Community Hospital, the victims were pronounced dead upon arrival.

The bodies have been deposited at the Anhwiaso Community Morgue.

The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
