Parliament has adopted the report of the Committee of the Whole on the 2026 formula for the distribution of the District Assemblies’ Common Fund (DACF).
The Majority Leader, Mahama Ayariga, on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, presented the report of the committee indicating the total allocation for the year is based on 5% of projected total revenue for 2026.
The fund allocation for the year 2026 is GHC 8,769,707,900 as compared to GHC 7,510,000,000 allocated for 2025, representing an increase of 16.78%.
Commenting on the issue of arrears, the Majority Chief Whip and MP for South Dayi, Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwami Dafeamekpor, called on the Finance Minister to take the necessary steps and release money to complete all legacy projects scattered across the various districts.
