Ghanaian gospel musician Florence Obinim has announced her official return to the music industry, calling for the collective support of her audience as she embarks on this new chapter.
During a guest appearance on the mid-morning show on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, the singer addressed her extended absence from the spotlight.
She clarified to host Eddie Ray that she did not take a hiatus in the traditional sense; instead, she chose to dedicate her time and energy to supporting her husband in the management and growth of his church.
In her view, this period of service was simply another form of ministry and a different way of preaching the Gospel of Christ.
Addressing the concerns of fans who had frequently expressed worry over her lack of new releases, she reassured them that she is now back for good.
She attributed her return to divine grace and the unwavering encouragement of her supporters.
Reflecting on her journey and future plans, she stated: “Let me assure my fans that in 2026, I am back for good and I will no longer take a break again. What I will need is God’s strength, divine protection and divine grace. So continue to pray for me and if God grants me that opportunity I will not take a break again.”
When the conversation turned to her career’s financial impact, the singer expressed profound gratitude for the opportunities music has afforded her.
She remarked: “To God be the glory, I will say God has been kind to me. Just as the Bible says man shall eat from the toil of his labours, I have tasted the goodness from music. If I am invited to events, I am able to make some money from such activities and so I will not be ungrateful and not acknowledge how God has blessed me through music. So I would maintain that it has been good.”
Despite her overall success, she touched upon the challenges currently facing the industry regarding royalties.
While she noted that royalties were appreciable in the past, she admitted that recent distributions have not been as favourable as they once were.
Regardless of these industry shifts, she remains focused on her mission and her commitment to her fans.
Gospel artist Florence Obinim kicked off 2026 by releasing a new worship single titled “Susu Pre” in early January. The inspirational track, which addresses life’s challenges and the need to seek the Kingdom of God rather than chasing only earthly things, is available on streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Deezer, and Spotify, with the official audio released via Florence Obinim Ministries on YouTube.
